Writers are creative people. We spin yarns. Tell tales. Exaggerate and entertain. We create and inspire. We have to be grammar pros too?! Well, yes and no. Yes, because all writers want their creations to be read therefore it must make sense. If your grammar is terrible, then folks won't make it past the first paragraph. No, because when you have a sellable creation then there are these people called editors and they are the grammar experts. Many of us won't see that level so we need to educate ourselves. There are many avenues of self-publication these days so pull up your boot straps, put on your thinking cap and let's learn a bit of the technical stuff!
