I write children's books. I love to write in verse but I am also developing my ability to write in prose.

I am a big fan of Dr. Seuss, David Walliams, Quintin Blake and Julia Donaldson (to name a few)

I initially began writing stories for an interactive storytelling group for children up to 10. I really focus on the experience of story telling for my audience - he one that goes beyond holding the book and reading the words. I like to be a bit quirky by playing around with syntax and using novel vocabulary in rhyming couplets. In my work I have found children really love the sound play and to feel how unusual vocabulary feels/sounds when they say it... as well as getting to act parts of the story out.
