Albert's Poetry Cafe Forum I AM IN A MOVIE

Dear Albert's Cafe writers,

I made it to the front page of our local newspaper The Bluefield Daily Telegraph today, Monday, August 24. I am in a movie called Grandfathers Pawn which is filming in our city of Princeton, WV.  I play the cue-card guy Barry, a speaking part in four or five scenes.  We worked at it all weekend and we'll continue in September.

Acting in a movie has been one of my "things-to-do-before-the-end-when-no-thing-gets-done-anymore"!  I am running out of dreams.

Sal, I agree with Quince. A poet never runs out of dreams. But life does sometimes get in the way of following our dream. Sometimes you have to put your dreams on hold for an even bigger dream AKA your movie. Your will to succeed will keep you going. Congratulations on achieving one dream.
