Heartbreak Poets Forum Are heartbreaks emo?

I have heard lots of different perspectives on whether or not a heartbreak poem is "emo" or not. If not, is there a distinction between the two? And if so, what makes you think that?

Not necessarily  but it could be.
I think that everyone has a heartbreak at some point in their lives
and probably moreso in an emo's day or experience.
So there must be an area of cross over where the two would meet.
The difference would be the tone and texture of the poem -
the pov and the approach to the heartbreak.... if that makes it any clearer (?)
