To (closely) paraphrase something said in the chat room on Foreward Motion a while back, "Why do I have to know how many moles the protagonist has on his butt before I can start writing the story?"  *sigh*  I can never answer these things.  Most of the questions are irrelevant to my characters and settings.

Yeah, I felt that way, too.  Some of the questions are stupid (there was one about the character's "smell"), but I wind up deleteing those.  They really work for me, especially when I really need to get inside a character's head.  They also really help when I need to remember someone's eye color or mother's name for whatever obscure reason.   Don't worry though - there will more contests =D
