Fantasy writer David Eddings, has died.   Eddings came late to writing but will be remembered by millions of his fans for the Belgariad and The Malloreon series.

I loved David Eddings books. It was through reading his and Ramond E Fiest's books that I discovered my love for popular fantasy and the desire to create my own fantasy worlds. His character Sparhawk was one of the inspirations for my own big man with a sword, Danyon. gayna
