The Writers' Music Forum Favourite bands?

Since this group is sort off dead, shall we start a nice jolly discussion about our favourite bands?

Personally, I have way too many, but to just say some from the top of my head: The White Stripes, Guns N Roses, Metallica, Hanoi Rocks, Iggy Pop, Sex Pistols, Nirvana-good old rock/metal/punk/grunge bands :)
