Writing Mentors Forum Newbie here!

I'm 24 years old, which I guess means I'm a senior here. 

I have a BA in English with a concentration in writing, but mostly just write for fun. Someday I hope to write an entire book, but that in itself is a challenge and will definitely take some time. I write a lot of poetry and short stories, and would love some advice on how to write longer pieces without getting distracted or off track.

I'm also new to Writer's Cafe in general, so if I'm doing something wrong please let me know! =)
