Young Adult Writers Forum Unsure of Genre

Hello, I have a new story I wrote (short story) that I would like people to read and would like to get feedback on it. I am unsure as to what genre to list it under but, given the contents of the first story (mostly about teenagers), I guess it falls under the young adult category. However, this is going to be a series and I wonder if the contents I am going to put in later stories will still be considered "young adult" or be for older readers (mostly intense violence and trauma, I intend to get descriptive about it). So, I am unsure of what genre to list it as.
I am hoping that people can read the story and leave me some feedback so I can better improve myself. I greatly appreciate any comments on it. Feel free to tell me if you feel something is wrong with it.
