Well, that is a simple task, yet it is one without a simple answer. I am many things—and I am one thing. But I am not a thing that is just lying around idle, like a big stack of extra cash, or gold bars in a safe. That is for sure. I am much more than that. I am a living, breathing thing, a thing that can never refuse to help someone in need. A thing that would share that big stack of extra cash and melt down the gold bars.
I am a woman. I am a servant of God. I am sympathetic to Americans. I am sympathetic to victims of crime. I offer a sympathetic ear to victims of cancer, and to victims of HIV/AIDS.
I am a wife.
And a mother. And a grandmother. And a great-grandmother.
And still I am much more.
