About Me

This is the only place where my writing from high school still exists. A lot of it is embarrassing to adult me, but I'm not going to begrudge teenage me of her thoughts and feelings.

I may add some current thoughts and feelings and poetry with time, but right now this page remains here mostly for the nostalgia.

I liked what you said in your about me section. Being raised very religious, I grew up hearing stories of how one miraculous experience "changed someone's life forever."
I also went through the process of discovering that life is a series of failures and successes, always a learning process and always about your own attitude and perspective. There are milestones but not always hugely obvious turning points, yet it's not a romantic enough concept to be really promoted. It's interesting when we grow up and discover reality...

Esoteric Theosophical Philosophy

The truth within your consciousness is like the horizon that recedes before you. As you journey towards your inner quest, in the direction of the leading edge of your belief acceptance. And your knowledge and understanding of the prevailing path grows, the next ascending possibility will always beckon you forth. For wisdom brings together within the truth of your existence, your souls essence, in which is attained by your own experience. Pursue your goal of achieving the truth within your reality of consciousness, in the most direct manner. The paradox is of course, is that you are both the voyager and the pathway; the treasure that you seek is most often slumbering within you or undeveloped in your quest. Its always within you and has always been and always will be. It has not been hidden from your sight, for the most part, its likely you have hidden from it, so wake it up, face it, and accept it, than use it, by becoming it.

The music gene runs strong in my family, and nearly every male plays guitar. I own about twenty of them and play a little every day. My oldest son plays, as does my middle son, but my 17 year-old hasn't picked it up yet. Speaking of the latter, I've got to go pick him up from school, and I'll be back later. It's very nice to meet you, Hannah.

Thanks for the "friend" invitation, Hannah. I love that Tracy Chapman song. You look like a music-lover--me too.

Nah...soaps are more believe able. Greek gods talk about how yahoo the god of rain, annoyed google the goddess of volcanos by raining on her lava or something. Religion is a fascinating thing and easy to write about but it's definately not for me. It's like a foreign country that's nice to visit but you wouldn't want to live there.

The biggest human characterists given to higher beings make me laugh because they are mostly the seven deadly sins. "Be good, or go to hell" is vengeance. "Don't worship anyone else" is a form of gluttony, greed and envy. Lust, sloth and pride are probably in there somewhere as well.
