I'm Scott. I live in a small town on the Oregon Coast, and have been writing in one form or another since I was about thirteen years old. I have always enjoyed expressing myself through the written word; I find it to be a most sacred form of language.

My interests are many, but I especially enjoy writing, music, reading, and travel. I am a former police officer and currently work as a Forensic Child Interviewer at a child abuse center.

Most of my work on this site is poetry, which is somewhat surprising to me; I guess I did not think of myself as a poet when I first began to write. It's funny how roads can take you to places you did not expect.

At one time, I had hoped to write a novel. But not so much now. My focus is more on expressing myself through poetry and short story.

I took quite a long hiatus from the Cafe, but have recently returned, as I find it a great space to share your work.
