Trust

It's A funny thing to spend your time just to be destroyed

thinking everything is perfect 

But when they leave, they leave a void

How many times?

How many nights?

How many kisses?

Afternoon delights?

You have truly broken me 

You have truly cut out my soul

You have whipped, flayed and tortured me 
Not wanting to hurt me that's hardly a goal

How about you don't cheat

How about you don't sleep

How about you fight temptation

How about you leave me to weep

Must've been really difficult to say no

Must've had a gun to your head

Must've held you down and tied you up
Must've said do it or your dead

No because that's a reason
No because that's a f*****g good reason

To cheat to lie to deceive to eat the apple you daughter of eve

I trusted you 

Yes the past tense as what remains is not trust

Its not any form of feelings least of all lust

Your my wife 

What else is there to say

Your my literal F*****g wife

Shed a tear for the trust you have broken

as it falls from your cheek to the embers of our love

extinguished forever more

This work of yours feels as though it was written In the heat of the moment. Not that it was bad but I’ve read some of your early work. You could be better. I know now a days it’s considered mean to judge, but your work seems to be missing something. I will read some of your other work and check how that turned out. This may come off as wrong considering that my own work has suffered, but I felt compelled to be honest. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your past work, hopefully you can get back to that standard.

I find a very emotional and moving appeal in your poem. You have laid it all out there for the reader to feel and empathize with and it works. As for why the trust was broken, one needs to find answers their own and no outsider can analyse the very personal nature of a relationship. I look forward to reading more of your poetry. Its very relatable.
