Meaning to existence

Just a little ramble I came up with while watching a some what depressing show

Have you ever found yourself

Completely lost in your own existence

Looking for anything that will make you remember

Trying to hide the pain and sinking feeling

Wishing to just be happy in this moment

Even if there is nothing to truly obtain

You reach out for whatever works

A substance, a drunk

A cushion to fall on

Or even false love.

You find that you hide your pain

In a master game set up for you

By you

To trick you

But you can't trick yourself.

You replace your pain by forcing your way into others

Seeing the darkness in the world

Yet that only makes you sink more

Is there truly a way to be happy

Is there away to completely forget
