A good honest criticism you shell have.

I admire the way you try to take simplicity and cover it with bright colors . But still something is missing.

The thing that I think is missing is a sub-story, "why do we even bother to ask if today is a good day?" - maybe because we feel unattended, or left out or sad because our friend is hurt, or we are hurt. Bring that story to mind, and develop it to the message that today everything is good.
