nonsense

I’m not one for long poems

I’m one for short and sweet

This may seem like nonsense

But it’s all the world needs

A little bit of crazy

A little bit of love

A few more softies

And a lot more white doves

Sure their only pigeons

But their such majestic little birds

Join the hearts of many

Fly in the sunshine at weddings

Oh and the sun

How it shines upon my face

How it lights the world

From a crisp winter noon

To a hot summers day

This may seem like nonsense

I warn you this now

But tell me have you proceeded to smile?

Dance in merriment

Don’t forget to sing

Skipping is good

Don’t forget these things

Horses are good listeners

And dogs are too

Animals listen wonderfully

I do too!

To all and all

Toes wiggling

Fingers clacking on the keyboard

This is nonsense

But that’s okay

Maybe nonsense is what we need today.

My leg is asleep

The fan makes a whosh

I shiver my teeth chatter

Wrap a blanket around myself and let my mind go free

I hate spiders

I hate bees

I love flowers

I love thee

My teddy bear lost it’s stuffing

But I love it anyway

Above my bed states

Don’t forget to pray

I forgot my homework!

Oh no, oh dear

Oh well, that class isn’t very well near

I cannot sleep

I lie awake at night

Sometimes I do then wake with a fright

Show choir I adore

May it live forevermore?

This may be nonsense to some, but not to me

A little nonsense is what this world needs :)
