Being A Boy

Being A Boy

A Poem by 2tfx

A poem about boyhood and freedom of a child.

I love to have my shirt off at the beach.

I stick my chest out.

My skin smooth and tan.

I run into the water.

And feel a wave hit my body.

I float, feeling the water on my body,

And I dive, swimming with the fish.

The air is cold when I surface.

And walk back to the sand.

The girls all stare and giggle.

My body wet and cold.

What do they see in me?

I'm only thirteen years old!
