I Do

I Do

A Poem by louanimal

Each brush of moonlit skin during the tango of our unspoken words

Every understood beat of his gentle heart beneath my head

The shared early morning warmth melting us together

Left me merciless

Each glorious hello preceding each drawn out goodbye

Every delicate raindrop that crashed as we embraced beneath them

The unexpected words you spoke as you got down on your knee

Left me no choice

Across calm waters we walk now

bearing silly grins, humming silly tunes

that tie both sides of the story together

fearlessly.
