Tenderly,

I look upon you.

so innocent,

of this darkened world.

Your cry,

resonates throughout me.

 burdens heavy,

I carry for you.

Harsh world lightened,

by your care free smile.

gently kissing you upon the cheek,

world brightens for a moment.

weights of life,

lift with the sight of you.

For my love so freely given,

I will protect you always my child.

well that brought a tear to my eye the thoughts of a new mother with her baby this is very good the stanzas are well written the meters are good and it is very poignant right to the very end
