Dancing With The Bridesmaid

Dancing With The Bridesmaid

A Poem by TheChristianLoner
"

A poem about my first dance ever, the day before I published this.

"
I stared
Into your eyes
Your silver hair hypnotizing me

A leap across nervousness thought to be opaque
A milestone that I thought I could never achieve in this life

And I did it
I took her hands
Felt myself melting away
The smile on my face beyond wide

I hiccuped in my performance
For it was my first orderly performance in my life
Yet it didn't matter, my eyes focused on hers
And hers focused on mine
Didn't care if I screwed up
It was worth it
