Turn off the phone

Turn off the phone

A Poem by DaniElle LaPointe

Clasped between two hands
These
Bright white
Horizontal
Windows
S
Close my eyes and
Let the light burn
Burn
Retina
Deeper
Darker
I float into another
Oneness
Away from here
No electricity
No fear
Light poles
Rebar
Hold
Up the place
Where no one is
While I am there
While I am not there

Unplug
