Life time

Life time

A Poem by Alfredo Quiroga

As the night comes to a screeching halt,
The luminous sky radiates frustration
As the hopes and dreams of the deceased
Peer intently into my soul,
Screaming bloody murder for help.
I sit perched lonely scared
Against the wall of shame
Contemplating my next move
But all I could think was
Is it worth it?
Should I say yes or no.
