Here I Lie

Here I Lie

A Poem by Luke Sampson

Here I lie
Destroyed once more
Begging with my heart
More sore

To be yet free
To move along
To free my wings
And sing my song.

So here I lie
To cry again
To wallow in
My-self made pain

But here I lie
And of you I
Think

Of how my tears
have formed my
Ink

But here I lie
For you again
Try and live
Without this pain
