A Poem by C.

I was your stars

You were my midnight

Hidden under dark blue sheets

Where your skin felt no light

That anyone could see

Midnight madness

Winter sadness

You were nothing more than my escape

You believed me so much

Drowned in my blue eyes

Sighed at midnight from my touch

When you knew my words were lies

I didn’t even have to try

You were so easy to get

And so easy to forget

I just wanted to screw you,

Screw you over

Only want you when I’m not sober

And I’ll probably just split tonight

Into the Wild

I’m spewing lies left and right

Saying you’re a pretty sight

But only in my sheets, dark blue

Midnight Rendezvous

A straightforward writing wrapped in nightly words. Mere lust covered in false promises. It has a ring to it.
