Every Which Way

Every Which Way

A Poem by C.

I know you'll always be danger
But I still won't make you a stranger
You've got a black heart and snake eyes
But I won't say my goodbyes
I know the morning is coming soon
And maybe this moment is inopportune
But I want you to stay
Though you don't want me in every which way

I let you take it out on me
So all this pain she'll never see
She'd ignore you I think anyway
Though it's something you would never say
She doesn't really care that much
And I'm just someone you can trust
Cause I'd never spill our secrets to her
Or you'd be gone in such a blur
And I want you to stay
Though you don't want me in every which way

I know tonight what's on your mind
Midnight tonight is so well timed
But nothing else about us is
My lungs are pushing against my ribs
Trying to catch a tiny breath
Before my slow, impending death
I really want you to stay
But you don't want me in every which way

I know that I should run for the hills
But I guess I get a kick from thrills
I knew what you were chasing after
But I just let you get me faster
I don't know what's wrong with me
And there's so much I'll never be
I know why you won't stay
Cause you don't want me in every which way

Amazing poetry dear C.
"I know that I should run for the hills
But I guess I get a kick from thrills"
The above lines are true. All of us want to test the border of life and we knew the answer. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
