Homeless God

Homeless God

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

Seeing beyond the exterior

"

I see God

Every morning before I go to work

He’s six-foot five

Slim

Black

He walks up and down the streets

Asking for food

Asking for money

Asking for a shot of whisky

The unrighteous see him only as a fool

A hopeless cause

Someone to avoid

Not I

My third eye sees what he is

I say he is God

So be nice to him

Or be shunned at the pearly gates

This is smart , most people preoccupied with themselves and looking for god out yonder. Deep write .
