Shadow People

Shadow People

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

From time to time I see these things but don't know what exactly they are

"

I often see them

In the early morning

Cool afternoons

Late nights

Moving between the lights

Since my childhood

Into my adulthood

Even right now

They move about

Dancing between the lights

I do not fear them

Nor do I embrace them

They simply are

My everyday reality

What they want

Who they may be

I have not the slightest

We never communicate

Only study one another

All my life I’ve seen them

Racing between the lights
