Nile Bank

Nile Bank

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

written by the sound of Jazz and the Ethiopian Zion Coptic Church

"

Smooth jazz spills into my cereal

Green fireflies make out on the tips of fingers

Estranged children running wild behind locked doors on camera

Turn on the tube, sex, violence, and late night preachers

Protestants converting Catholics’

John the forerunner cleansing the chosen

Car runs out

Rain of joy pours onto the highway

Erotic speeders talking on cell phones

Police officers illegally texting

Invisible

I am

Hiked up attention skirts

B***s popped out v-neck shirts

Don’t look unless I say

Let me c**k tease but make sure there’s a line

Average American women

W****s that want to be w****s acting like w****s yet wish to be respected as if they were angels.

Sickens me

Taking a toke

Relaxed

An empty bedroom

Zoned out

Not even apart of this world

Stoned

Closer to JAH

Being educated by Athlican Angels

Douglas brings me into the Holy Land Ethiopia

I sit with the saints

Talk, eat, sing, and calculate every minute aspect of JAH Kingdom

Praise Ethiopia

Praise Israel

Praise Mount Zion

Douglas brings me to the garden of Elijah

Were I learn the wisdom of the prophets

The name of JAH is written on every aspect of Creation

I journey with the Rastafarians

The Black Hebrew Israelites

A gentile that knows the truth

I and I exodus Babylon together

In harmony

In love

They are my people

The song of Rachael I sing

Scattered clouds dissolve

Hard wind hits the windshield

No more yes

No more no

Only an early morning of love glow

Smooth jazz enters my being

I am free

I am free
