freedom born justice

freedom born justice

A Poem by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

about an early morning ride

"

Driving

Down the lonely black highway

Staring straight into endless space

Eyes

Drooping heavy still sleeping

Mind barely functioning

495

The highway I take

Fifty odd miles in both directions

Baqarra District

Beat down misplaced city

My early hour destination

Zooey

The place I leave and return

The happy restful place of my days

Driving

Down the lonely black highway

Staring straight into endless space

thank you very much
Very picturesque...I always felt something depressing about being on the road on early mornings pre-sunrise, especially when it involves going to work...I feel it here.
