No More Hilton

No More Hilton

A Chapter by Abdul Batin Osman Bey
"

A primitive anarchist longing

"

Night comes down

I’m lying on the floor

Blanket me in snow

Freedom born

Look out the window

Angelic minstrels

Lets go back

Way back

Before the industrial smog

Before technology filtered our lives

Before pompous governments rose

Before monumental eye-sores cluttered our vision

Lets go back

Way back

When we were apart of nature

When we grew and hunted our food

When we gathered what we needed for survival

When we were one tribal family

I want to run wild

Abolish domesticated existence

Answer to no human ruler

Ending all alienation

I want to simply be

As we use to

With natural meaning

Glorious purpose

One day it’ll be reality

As the civilized world decays into dust

We will reenter the garden
