When It's Time To Go

When It's Time To Go

A Poem by Rose Black
"

When it’s time to travel alone, Don’t be scared. The light may not lead you, But all you even need Is the harsh, cold wind.

"

When it’s time to travel alone,

Don’t be scared.

The light may not lead you,

But all you even need

Is the harsh, cold wind.

Why trouble yourself

Over where you’re going

When in the end,

It’s the same people

With blank stares

And empty hearts.

Pretending to hold your hand

Where you go.

You’ll meet the people

That kiss you until

You’re raw, and leave

You bleeding.

They aren’t too hard to find.

You may be trying

To leave it all

But there’s nowhere

You can go

Where you’ll feel all right

Nowhere, where you can

Make up for lost time.
