The Order of Good and Bad

The Order of Good and Bad

A Poem by Rose Black
"

I’m not sleeping now. The time keeps getting closer To the place it should never approach. Minutes pass by lie seconds. Counting down how long I have To do absolutely nothing.

"

I’m not sleeping now.

The time keeps getting closer

To the place it should never approach.

Minutes pass by like seconds.

Counting down how long I have

To do absolutely nothing.

When you’re pulled into

A place, a time, that you

Don’t want to be

All you can do is sit back

And watch. The cream will unfold,

Stories will be whispered

Over plastic cups filled with

The finest crown royal.

Welcome to the world

Where the best dressed

Pay to converse,

Where the poor depend on good will.

Thing has turned from

Great to worse, all depending

On the order in which you see it.
