Little Blue Peep

Little Blue Peep

A Poem by AJNJ
"

That blue dress...

"
I just love the way you use
that pert, pretty dress as a bait
that little blue number you
sometimes wear for our dates
Pulled from an old closet for me
its seems so new and blemish-free
Tailored to fit and snugly trace
the sensuous ins and outs of you
Each perky underwired inch
my contrite ground of waterloo
A decoleté plunging so steeply
helps me often pry so deeply
into your heart where you conceal
as much as you tend to reveal
yet something softly draws my eye
leaving me cynical and wry
faint as the pearly moon above
dried mildew of another’s love
those telltale spots of bygone lust
that reason why i just wont trust
for on this table meant for two
sup many ghosts, not just a few

Wow, man. Such an intriguing write. I bet that dress fits so fine! Yet somehow, when you manage to draw your eyes away from those curves, all is not as it seems. Some skeletons in that closet where the dress came from, by the sound of it. Tread with caution. Great flow and rhyme, and it's so very original. Pretty awesome.

Of course, I remember well that scandal involving Clinton and Lewinsky. I didn't reflect on that though until I read the line "dried mildew of another's love". Then it all came flooding back. Your poem didn't end where I thought it would when I started reading it. That makes for a better experience. A twist in the ending. Well penned Pestonjee. You consistently pen to a high standard.

Well, that nasty incident occurred when I was just a toddler, but even I became aware of it as I grew into my adulthood! Such a lewd incident and one horrifically aired out in public for the whole world to see. So shocking. It was amazing that the dirty woman played the victim in the whole sorry affair. I wonder what happened to the value of Cuban cigars after that? Lol. Your poem is very well written, Monsieur P! It just has a lovely flow to it and you keep the reader in suspense the whole way through. Your mind and pen are right in the zone at present. Kudos on another fine creation! Much enjoyed! :))

Started so romantic, subtly sensual.
Then the twist! And of course it all clicked when I saw your note. What a dirty girl. Never even did her laundry
