Or perhaps....I found myself...turning left when I should have turned right?? Lol. Some very descriptive examples here, P! I guess we can find ourselves in many places and for most of us here, i think we find ourselves in words. I believe if we chase our dreams and our passions we will always find ourselves. I particularly enjoyed your final two examples. They are very unique and end the poem on a lovely note. Another fine write, dear P! Your pen is in overdrive! Much enjoyed! :))

Thank you very much for such a great review!
I think one of the saddest things about human nature is how many people need to pigeonhole themselves & others. That's the thing I love about your message, that you endorse a spontaneous & fluid identity that can be shaped, moment by moment, by whatever life brings, & you do this by crafting strongly detailed examples, well-expressed (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Once, traveled Europe to find myself.
Unfortunately, I wasn't, there.
A lovely, eloquent and elegant piece of work, poet.
Amazing, as is.

Thanks a ton dear sir. Always great to see you!
I love the layout here, Pestonjee! It gives your words and examples an additional beauty. It is full of wonderfully original examples of places one can find themselves and in our current times, finding ourselves is at a premium. Your final line is very telling. I believe we all must rediscover ourselves after the goodbyes. Such an original style of write and your examples are fabulous.

Thanks a ton for such a beautiful review on my words, dear friend 💐
The rhyming is so wonderful in this one, Peston. We live in a world of dichotomies....and often many of them make no logical sense. We love someone so deeply that we hate them. We miss someone so deeply but when they appear, we are not pleased. Can we not make up our minds? Such a unique write here, Peston....and the presentation is lovely. Lydi**

To find original thoughts and their ensuing emotions is.. a rarity. Sheep follow sheep and yet your list invites different routes, natural routes, ways of merely being rather than standing in other people's shadows and joined up writing. Perhaps!

To thine own self be true... perhaps? .

A cascade of unique images in this, along with excellent rhyming. The poem seems to be saying that a setback, even a major one, can open vistas to us that we might never have been aware of otherwise. Liked especially the last two lines.

Far more complex than I first thought.. just goes to show although you can, maybe you should not judge a book by its cover. Nice one Pj :)

Thank you very much for appreciating this poem dear friend.
So creative and descriptive. Allowed my mind to drift off on a few unplanned excursions. So very nicely done. You also showed us how to be creative in a different way. Each one of these is worth pondering on for more than a few seconds Pestonjee.
