Said The Fly...

Said The Fly...

A Poem by AJNJ

Spin for me a web slyly…

From the lustrous silk

In your fulsome belly

A web so soft and slick

I bury myself sinfully

In thick, diaphanous depths

Forgetting, I am but prey

Confused, blinded deeply

By the toxins you spray

Upon my naked, tender skin

In the supple web you spin

Better than Machiavelli

Spin for me a web slyly…

Love the metaphor here. Beware poor fly of that spider. She spins to trap, to control and then to totally consume. Yes, I do believe there are a few women out there who would do that. There are also a lot of men who would fall for it. Great write AJ. Don't be one that gets entrapped.

Was trying a bit of witty seduction here! Thank you for the great comment!
Beautifully done. I love the imagery. Lines five and six are perfection.

I don't blame you
This is a creative write. On my second read the imagery really carved in my mind. You made something spooky to many, spiders, romantic and passionate. Golden! Tyfs

.............. as far as I can see, this is a very cerebral & otherwise covertly, but oh' so very subtly erotic bit of poetry sir ... but on the other hand.. I s'pose I might just be mistaken .. nah .. it is what it is .. a nice bit of erotica :)

welcome as always ....

:)

The sensual imagery of this one alerts us to the fact that it isn't about bugs. The first impulse is to say the images are sexual, and that may be. However, the reference to Machiavelli may indicate that the spider is any person who tempts us or plays upon our human weaknesses to manipulate us. That said, I like the sexual version better.

I prefer the sexual version myself...Thanks a ton dear sir!
What a sensuous piece, almost romantic, but of course we know what happens to the fly. Also, thank you for using the word diaphanous, greatly underused word. Nice Write.
