"The Ball"

"The Ball"

A Story by Andrew Leister-Frazier
"

A comical insight into the idiocy of our species.

"
We devote enormous resources around the ball. We spent 1.6 billion dollars building a stadium around the ball. Whether it be a baseball, a tennis ball, a soccer ball or a football. Millions of people gather either in stadium on on their TV's to watch the ball.

After the game people talk about the ball. What it did. Who had it. What they did with it. How fast it went. How far it went. What lines it crossed. For days people can't stop talking about the ball and all the things it did.

If there was a proper assessment of mankind's priorities our number one priority would be to know “Where is the ball?”.

A gripping observation about the things we choose to focus on and how we miss what really matters. Awesome.

Funny. Never realized the importance of 'the ball' before.
