Am I Brave Enough to Say I Love You?

Am I Brave Enough to Say I Love You?

A Poem by AMP
"

A moment when the heart, with it's own free will, decides your feelings for you. My question still remains unanswered...

"

Look at you...

You've messed with my heart.

I cry at night when I think of you,

Off somewhere in a big city,

Currently lost to me,

For we cannot reach each other.

All I want to do is find you.

All I want is to be held while the tears fall.

You hold this broken girl

Who's sealed up in your letters.

She loves you... I think.

Author's Note

AMP
This is really the first time I've done total free verse. I wasn't trying at all when I wrote this... I've had writer's block for a while, and my feelings needed an outlet. This is what they are: raw, free flowing from the heart, and completely unaltered.

A fantastic poem. The emotion behind it was expertly expressed and it was very well written. I think the rawness was what made this poem great. It seems really personal and seems to reflect genuine feelings. Overall, this is a great poem, one that I would recommend to others.
