Oblivious Able

Oblivious Able

A Poem by ANCIENTRUNAWAY

Parading in obscure fashion and style

engulfed in the highest standard of apathy

universally known as "detached and raised with heedlessness" by peers

braided hair of nips and naps

noticeably uncombed for decades (including seasons)

passive for her grades and dues

Meet Oblivious Able

Dressing in dirt and sleaze

a sheet of cotton, in this thorough winter breeze

lethargic for death, or even a moment of stress

shrugging, as she locks eyes onto her bruised friend

Switching through psychological phrases of the unknown

Monotone and ever so lonely

aching on her "structured" chair

scrutinizing through screen of contrast and brightness

believing the virtual letters and beings are her lovers

Meet Oblivious Able
