I Look At You

I Look At You

A Poem by Ohgal625
"

This poem is about what happens too often in relationships when it moves from new to old.

"

I look at you and you look away, I hate these games we
play today. I say I love you with all my heart you say Yeah

whatever or please dont start.

I tell you that you are my world but you pretend I never

said a single word. I say honest I'm lonely can we sit and talk?

You say I just would rather that we did not. I come to you for
any kind of love physical or emotional, but the blow you give with

such rejection leaves a stinging on my soul.

I ask you if you would like to leave, but you  turn on me and act so

dang mean. When at last I've finally have had enough and I tell you with

you I can not stay, that is when you tell me you'd wish for me to stay.

You tell me that you love me, you call me your baby, honey and dear.

You promise me that you will change, you will try a little more. You hold

me in your arms so tight and I think....Finally it's all going to be alright but

then you change from day to night and we are back to the same old thing
I look at you and you look away.
