From the Soul

From the Soul

A Poem by Aaron McClarnon

I speak this poem from the soul
with no lies to be seen
No little lumps of coal
to counter your gleam.

You've captured my heart
and your holding it tight
your smile as sweet as chocolate tart
and eyes as bright
as morning light
Your lips like a rose
soft and pink
and through the woes
we have forged a link.

I'm sure you'll roll your eyes
"A message from a troll"
but I speak no lies
I speak only from the soul.

I like it! The rhyming is quite good, I think. Also, the message is nice too. And funny - "sweet as chocolate tart"? lol. Funny on a sweet way, though.
