Inquisition

Inquisition

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Inquisition

Satisfaction in anger,

turning anxiety

into wild eyed frustration,

making breathing easy

as biting down on jawbreakers.

It takes a while to get there

but I’m there now,

it’s hard to be pacified

when perceived indifferent.

And I’ve never respected

those who wag fingers,

it shows a lack of respect

in ones own mirror,

as in;

“They” have been “there” before.

We all stumble through life

once in a while,

and better to have someone

to break the fall,

than getting kicked in the ribs

when exposed.

Unfortunately some prefer

the putting down of heels,

and the cracking of bones;

mine.

So I took a tumble,

so what!

Holster that finger my dear,

stop looking for pearls

in an ocean without oysters.

Take an aspirin,

get someone to rub your feet.

Life is hard enough.

Obligatory;

I use to punch holes in walls,

now walls punch holes in me!
