Soil

Soil

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Soil

Screaming through the tears

is most bothersome,

willing and able

to accept definitions,

but no capacity for learning

the differences in others,

as unique.

The iconoclast

bull their way through

marginalized personalities,

handing out snapdragons

when a sunflower will do.

A bitter taste,

brought about by change

and a fine tobacco cigarette.

Bothersome;

getting to the ship in the bottle,

or the understanding

of potted soil.

I wallow

in self pity,

and frustration.

Knowing I had the ability

to stay balanced,

but was unwilling to do so.
