A Broken Machine

A Broken Machine

A Poem by Abhishek Ram
"

This is for the struggle of those broken by the world's effect and requirements and desires for them.

"

Blood flowing through arteries is disrupted,

Oxygen can no longer aid the suffocating soul,

Destroyed by the body's reality ruined by life's history,

It's no mystery what put its life on hold.

Body is a broken stone, lifeless and unable to heal broken bones,

A tree cut down by the ax of its personal calamity.

The truth of the soul's destructive humanity now taking its toll,

Ruining the life of many and few adamantly.

Soul is all alone, in solitude does it rest its weary head,

On the shredded bed of broken dreams,

When everything is all done and said,

Does its pain flow through it in steady streams.

Mind is a broken record player, going on and on,

Repeating its feelings, its pain, its fears come real,

Destitute is the being of its being, the feeling of its feeling,

And it all encompasses it until it is sent reeling.

Human is a destroyed machine, broken and ruined to the extreme,

Its heart overheated and ready to burn,

Burning in the inferno that stems from the blazing pain,

The pain in which the human will for a long time churn.
