The amazing space-opera world of Robotech is comprised of futuristic space-machinery and artworks. This is a world of the great space-pilot Max Sterling and his incredible allies who wage war against the inglorious horde of warlike aliens with robotics-machinery known as the Invid.

MAX STERLING: My command involves coordinating the wishes and dreams of human fighters against the Invid mind.

Robotech machinery and space-vehicles are as impressive as those of the Invid, and they have to be, in order to wage this battle for democracy and right stuff in the universe. Max Sterling commands human space-pilots who can man great space-ships and transforming giant head-engineered flying space-robots.

Sterling is not alone in his crusade, as his friends and co-captains and girlfriends and ministers comprise the great democratic vision of the Robotech empire.

It's the terrible truth that the defecting traitor-humans of the Robotech empire have helped the evil Invid invade the ships and castles of Max Sterling after being promised by the Invid to receive great battle armor and swords of incredible profit and power and aesthetic beauty!

Sterling continues to make sure the engineered Robotech machinery itself is always up-to-speed and can therefore keep pace in this democracy-war against the Invid, which is why Sterling's empire-machinery/robots are both awesome and gorgeous.

The Invid meanwhile design semi-organic cybernetic robotic killing machines such as 'Cyclonus' --- a prototype borrowed from the blueprints of a faraway visited planet called Cyber-Tron.

The Invid also design pure machine-killing robots who prowl the planets of the Robotech space area and seek to destroy all friends of Max Sterling. This is what makes the Invid so menacing --- its relentless pursuit of anarchy!

STERLING: The Robotech War will not end overnight, but it will come with great glorious trophies which we must honor.

The enemies of Sterling are constantly scheming to suck the life-energy out of the universe and create new hordes of Invid invaders and machinery designed to subvert the social dream of democracy, making these enemies pure ghoulish diplomats of a new brand of universal arrogance.

STERLING: We don't want our friends to be stranded in war-ridden area planets in engagements with our adversary.

RICK HUNTER: As Max's good friend and co-pilot, I make sure our spaceships fly around with great awesome pace!

The Invid have now synthesized a completely new adversary in the form of a semi-human wild beast-creature named Blanka. Blanka can rip through forests and dominions with his swiftness and claws and emits electrical destruction and is an all-around hairy wild 'darkman' of anarchy.
