Scarecrow and the Cop: Vancouver Diamond Heist

Vancouver (British Columbia) is the location of our special little tale of a diamond-thief who goes by the named of Scarecrow, a young Algerian-American bank robber who wants to add some theatrical spice to the North American city with a theatrical performance involving an 'acid-gun' and a butter-knife and a willing/cajoled guardsman.

Amlan Satan is the name of this bank robber, and he intends to steal $20 million diamonds from Antwerp (Belgium) stored in a special and rich Vancouver (British Columbia) bank disguised/costumed as the Scarecrow (DC Comics). Now, Satan (Amlan) is no ordinary thief and wants to concoct a special theater-plan for this awesome diamond-heist.

Firstly, Satan ('Scarecrow') follows home the bank security-guard in his car the week before the diamond-heist and explains he'll haunt/stalk/threaten the man who lives alone in his suburban home unless he fully cooperates with him on the day of the robbery, when he walks into the bank costumed as a singing Scarecrow, and the guardsman is frightened and ultimately concedes to this secret compact.

Secondly, Satan/Scarecrow walks into the bank the day before the heist in no costume but with a chef's kit claiming he's opening a new account with the bank and has sample homemade butter for the servicing manager who's assisting him that day in opening a new private account in the safe-box area in which this 'Satan-chef' will deposit (fake!) diamonds from British Columbia. In this chef's kit is a steel butter-knife which Satan leaves behind at the bank (the day before the actual heist) during his account presentation and opening activity and hides the steel knife in the soil of the plant inside the bank lobby.

This heist should be perfect and go without a hitch, so Satan/Scarecrow knows he has to look the part and play the part and make sure all the 'ingredients' of this delicious diamond-heist make for a terrific recipe and feast. He doesn't want to mess up the theater-aspect of this bank robbery, since the security inside the awesome bank will require him to be a 'perfect' daredevil.

Satan/Scarecrow has already staked-out the inside of the bank the day before the heist when he opened his fake temporary account and deposited fake diamonds in the safe-box, with the help of the attractive female bank manager, Esmerelda Pointe. Now, he's going back to the very-same bank on the very-next day to 'greet' her as the Scarecrow.

SATAN/SCARECROW: These million-dollar gems are worth this stunt, and I'll create a handsome private Swiss account!

Satan has created a rather dashing and engaging Scarecrow costume for the diamond-heist at the Vancouver (British Columbia) bank the next day. It's complete with some scruffy stage-gloves with open fingers and brown-colored clothing to capture the earthen-look of a scarecrow!

SATAN/SCARECROW: I'll be wielding a toy water-gun which will contain corrosive acid.

Amlan Satan gets the HCL corrosive acid from a friend who works in a Vancouver chemistry lab and prepares a batch of the hot burning stuff to be poured into a small glass inner-tube, very thin, which he'll then insert into his water-gun to hold the melting acid!

SATAN: The thin-glass tube will prevent the corrosive acid from burning through the water-gun in a sloppy way!

Scarecrow (Amlan Satan) walks into the bank the next day as the costumed theater freak and begins singing loudly, "If I only had a brain..." and grabs the bank security-guard as the (fake) hostage. This is the same guard who's been cajoled into serving as the secret hostage for this heist at this very professional financial institution in which the manager Esmerelda Points is preparing to try to negotiate with this deadly bank robber.

Esmerelda, the fake-hostage guard, and the 'Scarecrow' march into the safe-box area of the vault-room of the Vancouver (British Columbia) bank. Scarecrow (Amlan Satan) proceeds to use his 'acid-gun' to burn through the safe-box belonging to the rich BC baron Goldfinger where the million-dollar diamonds from Belgium are stored. He then grabs that hidden steel butter-knife to pry open the lid of the safe-box (after burning through the lock-section!) to grab the diamonds. Scarecrow then stuns Esmerelda and the guardsman by burning through his own safe-box and lifting the (fake) diamonds he deposited the day before as the fake chef-businessman (Amlan Satan!) and switching them for the diamonds in the safe-box belonging to Goldfinger.

POLICEMAN CHARLES: So, this 'Scarecrow' just 'danced' into the bank and walked out with diamonds!

SECURITY GUARD: Yeah, and he placed fakes from a chef's account after taking Goldfinger's gems.
POLICEMAN CHARLES: Why'd he do that?
SECURITY GUARD: He claimed the chef and Goldfinger are in cahoots with blood-diamonds.
POLICEMAN CHARLES: Blood-diamonds?
SECURITY GUARD: Yeah, warlord-gems from Africa --- used for terrorism-financing.
POLICEMAN CHARLES: So this 'Scarecrow' might be some kind of Interpol-specter or vigilante?
SECURITY GUARD: That's one of our hunches, Officer Charles.
POLICEMAN CHARLES: Cool.
SECURITY GUARD: So, why're you chasing this 'Scarecrow' now, if I may ask?
POLICEMAN CHARLES: Well, I'm psychotic...and I want to determine if Scarecrow is worse.
SECURITY GUARD: Well, we just want business and press to go back to normal at our fine bank, sir.
POLICEMAN CHARLES: So do I!

It's too late for Officer Charles. Scarecrow (Amlan Satan) has high-tailed it with Goldfinger's diamonds using the Vancouver metro-train, taking him first to an underground diamond-money transfer spot and then to the airport. Satan (Amlan) then takes a Tarom flight to Bucharest, remembering only the sunny metro-ride from the bank that day after the Goldfinger heist.
