Angelina's Room

Angelina's Room

A Poem by Abraxasbird
"

Ill fated confluence

"
It was all too aloof,
The whole ordeal feeling like a spoof
So it was only natural
When I spoke I felt spooked
Fearing I might be misunderstood

You see deep within me
Swelled a certain feeling
Images of you and I in ecstasy
All constrained and yet brimming

Reeling, I imagined possibilities fleeting
Under the soft gaze of you eyes
Waiting to hear my lullaby
And instead finding my wonton remarks
That seemingly stemmed from my heart

What must I do to fulfill you,
Vanishing Horizon;
I fidget in the silence-
For my words do not reflect the truth
That my eyes do

You are Life, you are Chaos
I am Order, I am Death
You are a love that was lost
And I, an appetite that must be fed

And although reticent, I have already lost my head
Drunk from the promise of your fading Sun;
I see twilight, I see starlight
Oh glimmering Sun,
Will you ever come again?

Nicely penned, Tiresias, what a good work you've written. I liked your last stanza, which finished your verse quite nicely :) maika'i no (good job)!!
