Maverick and Oxygen

Maverick and Oxygen

A Poem by Abraxasbird
"

A wall of emotions crashing down and straining the essence of life

"

Maverick and Oxygen

It is all so real

Every little thing that you do, so physical, so spiritual

The words that ease from your lips carrying the weight of your mind

That seem to have the intuition of the cavernous depths of my eyes

I see you, look at me, seemingly laughing deep inside

Knowing how hard I try to rack my thoughts

And stretch to comprehend your souls heights,

And in a myriad of ways, it matters not

Your are infinite,

You are the water in the vase

Fluid and flexible in form

You are all things magnificent

I take the time to observe the way you shine

Underneath sunlight you shimmer, beautiful and pure

Altogether seemingly a confluence of opulence

The world would not be what it is without your presence

I see what everyone else sees

The glitters that reflect across the blue seas

But I understand,

The depths of you are impossible to peruse from a single view

A smile, a wave, a shimmer and alas your gaze

There upon the shore, in the sun, abreast the sweeping gale

I find myself in your waters,

The maverick of your love, awe-inspiring by its sheer scale

Here, there are no small matters

Through touch and feeling,

I can hear your heart,

Through sight and understanding

I can hear your thoughts

Through words and speaking,

I learn to understand what I have not

I am submerged, subdued, subverted, and in bloom

Nurtured by the force, the magic, that moves through you
