((WAITING))

A Poem by Abyrdun
"

An unwillingness to act. Maintaining beliefs but not acting upon them.

"
((Waiting)) 69

Someone else,
Come on now,
Step up now,
Come on.

Only the useless escape,
Even then, some don't.
Step up now, come on.
Buckets.

One day you might wake in the haze
Tongue crisp dry, joint in hand,
Sleeping with your eyes open,
Blanketed in garbage,
Gazing out the filthy window-
You might peer your head through
The Broken, never to be repaired, glass.
You might feel the purest water
treacle from the roof and
flood the drought upon your face.
The breeze might seethe all about you,
filling and cleansing your abused lungs.
