Lately...

Lately I've been feeling a little down

And everyone claims to be a clown

All they do is dance around

This never ending urge to drown

How are others so proud

How do they seem like they're wearing a crown

Was everyone born lucky

Able to float around like a rubber ducky

Why do all my friends seem so calm

When I seem to feel numb

Some claim:

I can fix you; I'm not broken

I understand you; You can only try

I know how to help you; Please just stay away

In my mind I feel as if they're lying

As if my lungs are dying

Torn to pieces at the hands of others

Just to be left without hands to glue myself back together

Lately, why do I feel down

When I see someone acting like a clown

Why do I trust

When all they do is pull me down

Sad little poem. When we are feeling low, it can be difficult to be in the company of those who appear not to have a care in the world and are having fun. It doesn't seem fair does it, when we are struggling? It is good to express your feelings. I have always found that helps. Keep writing.

I'm doing far better than what I was doing at the time. There are good days and bad, I am surrounding myself with better people now, and am slowly getting back into the things I enjoy, I might post some writings soon. Hope you are doing well!
