Happy Forest

Happy Forest

A Poem by Ace Jaxon

Happiness
A thing worth fighting for
Something I often put under other people's
Happy is and isn't a choice
It's a forest that I'm lost in
I only seem to find my way when I get distracted
I know it's somewhere in my mind
Somewhere in the northern woods it resigns
But I have no compass to guide my way
No distractions to carry me away
My mind: the trees hiding the path
My heart: a compass that's broken
It just needs time to fix
Happiness will be found
I won't be lost anymore
